Grain and legume cleaning equipment is a specialized combination of equipment designed to remove impurities from grains and legumes (such as pigeon beans, soybeans, and rice). Its core objective is to improve material purity and ensure processing safety. The overall configuration follows a process of “pretreatment → precise separation → secondary purification”.
Core Cleaning Equipment Types and Suitable Scenarios
1. Pre-treatment Equipment (Removal of Large and Light Impurities)
Vibrating Screen: Separates large particles such as straw, weeds, large stones, and broken shells, as well as some fine dust, from materials through multi-layered screens (with different apertures) vibrating. Suitable for all grains and beans, it is the first key piece of equipment in the cleaning process. The screen aperture can be changed according to the particle size of the material (e.g., 2-3mm aperture for pigeon beans).
Air Classifier: Separates light impurities such as dust, shriveled grains, and broken leaves using airflow differences. Used in conjunction with a vibrating screen, it removes light impurities before screening for larger impurities, preventing light impurities from clogging the screen. Suitable for pre-treatment of damp materials or materials with high impurity content.
2. Precision Separation Equipment (Removal of Heavy and Side Impurities)
Gravity Destoner: Primarily used to separate high-density impurities such as stones, mud, and metal particles. The suction and blowing types mentioned earlier belong to this category. Compatible with all grains and beans requiring destoning, especially suitable for materials like pigeon beans and soybeans that easily contain field stones.
Magnetic Separator: Uses a strong magnetic field to adsorb metallic impurities such as iron nails and wires from materials, preventing damage to subsequent processing equipment. Installed after the destoner and before the grinding/crushing equipment, it is an essential piece of equipment to ensure equipment safety.
Separator: Utilizes subtle differences in particle size and shape to separate adjacent impurities (such as small stones similar in size to pigeon beans, and different types of particles). Suitable for processing scenarios with extremely high purity requirements (such as food-grade bean production).
3. Secondary Purification and Auxiliary Equipment
Polishing Machine: Removes mud, dust, and seed coat debris from the surface of beans, improving the gloss of the material. Suitable for soybeans, pigeon beans, and other beans intended for direct consumption or further processing.
Dust Removal Equipment: Includes pulse dust collectors and cyclone dust collectors to collect dust generated during the cleaning process, ensuring the workshop environment meets standards and preventing dust contamination of materials or harm to operator health.
Conveying equipment: such as elevators and scraper conveyors, connect various cleaning equipment to realize continuous and automated material flow, which is suitable for large-scale processing lines.
