2. Working Principle: Separation Based on “Specific Gravity Difference”
The destoner primarily utilizes the density difference between grains and heavy impurities, combined with the combined action of airflow and vibration to achieve separation. The specific process consists of three steps:
Separation: After grains and impurities enter the inclined screen of the destoner, the screen vibrates simultaneously, and airflow blows upwards from the bottom. At this time, the less dense grains are lifted by the airflow and remain in the upper layer; the denser heavy impurities, being less easily lifted, sink to the lower layer and adhere tightly to the screen surface.
Separation: Due to the inclined screen and continuous vibration, the heavy impurities in the lower layer gradually move towards the “impurity outlet” along the inclination direction of the screen surface; the grains in the upper layer, affected by vibration and airflow, move towards the “grain outlet,” opposite to the impurities.
Purification: A small amount of grain mixed with heavy impurities is blown back into the grain layer by the secondary airflow below the screen surface, ensuring that grain is not wasted and that the separated heavy impurities contain almost no qualified grains.
