Working principle and advantages of magnetic separator

Magnetic separator, as the name implies, is a device that removes soil through magnetic force, and is mainly used to remove soil from grains. It is a special device for accurately separating magnetic impurities (such as iron filings, iron nails, magnetic soil particles, etc.) in bean seeds, and is widely used in the pre-processing stage before bean processing.

1、The core working principle of magnetic separator

1Material conveying: The bean seeds to be processed (such as soybeans, mung beans, etc.) enter the equipment through the feed port and are evenly distributed on the conveying surface through the conveyor belt to ensure that the seed layer thickness is consistent to avoid impurities being covered by the seeds and missed.

2Magnetic field action area: A high-strength permanent magnet is set in the conveying path to form a continuous magnetic field area. When the bean seeds pass through, the magnetic impurities (such as iron filings, rust particles, and magnetic soil lumps) in them will be adsorbed by the magnetic field and firmly adhered to the surface of the magnet or the magnetic roller.

3Impurity separation: Non-magnetic bean seeds are not affected by the magnetic field and continue to move forward with the conveyor belt and are eventually discharged from the discharge port; while the adsorbed magnetic impurities are removed after leaving the magnetic field area and fall into the impurity collection tank to complete the separation.

2Working process of magnetic separator

The material is fed into the feeding bucket, and then enters the grain box through the elevator and the three-way, and then is evenly distributed on the conveyor belt through the bulk grain. Under the transportation of the conveyor belt, the material passes through two rows of filtering magnets and magnetic rollers and then is thrown flat and scattered (removing the strong magnetic iron impurities in the material to avoid the iron impurities from contacting the magnetic roller and damaging the conveyor belt), forming a flat surface. Since the soil particles contain ferromagnetic substances, they will change their trajectory after passing through the magnetic roller, so the material can be separated from the soil particles through the diverter2 plate, and finally enter the grain outlet and soil outlet of the grain outlet box respectively.
