Working principle and structural features of soybean air screen cleaning machine

A soybean air-screen cleaner is a specialized mechanical device used for cleaning, grading, and removing impurities from soybeans.

Working Principle: A soybean air-screen cleaner typically combines air-screening and sieving functions. Material first enters the feed hopper. Once a certain amount has accumulated, the switch automatically opens, and the raw soybeans enter the vibrating screen. The vibrating screen generally has multiple layers of screens. The upper screen removes large impurities such as straw and corn kernels; the middle screen retains whole, good soybeans while removing small impurities and broken beans; the lower screen allows extremely small impurities to pass through. After sieving, the soybeans are then passed through an airflow generated by a blower. Dust, light husks, shriveled beans, and other light impurities are carried away by the airflow and enter the settling chamber or dust removal system, while the soybeans continue to fall, completing the air-screening process.

Structural Features: Screen Box: Generally, a double-screen box structure is used to ensure screening penetration and processing capacity. The screens are usually fixed with bolts and can be easily replaced according to user requirements, saving time and effort.

Fan and Ductwork: The fan provides the airflow required for air separation. Dust-collecting ducts are typically designed inside the machine, which is both aesthetically pleasing and extends its service life.

Gravity Table: Some soybean air-screening and cleaning machines are equipped with a gravity table. After soybeans enter the gravity table, they undergo gravity segregation to separate lighter impurities from the finished product. Lighter impurities are distributed on the surface and flow downwards, exiting through the lighter impurity outlet of the gravity table, while the better material is distributed at the bottom and exits through the receiving hopper.

Feed Hopper: A counterweight switch is often used, automatically opening the hopper after a certain amount of raw material has accumulated, allowing the raw grain to enter subsequent processing steps.
